Backman, Frances E.
Neenah Age 95, died October 22, 2003, at Vallhaven Care Center. She was born August 15, 1908, in Aurora, Illinois, daughter of the late Mike and Louise (Zieder) Hammes. Frances married Gust Backman at Trinity Lutheran Church, Neenah. Frances is survived by 2 sons: James (Blanche) Backman, Neenah; Bob (Betty) Backman, Prescott Valley, AZ; 5 grandchildren: Cindy (Randy) Kolstad; Mary (Kelly) Longgrear; John Backman; Paul (Debbie) Backman; Robert Backman Jr.; 8 great grandchildren: Josh, Jesse, Justin, Rachel, Aaron, Nick, Jeremy and Markus; 2 sisters, Elsie Berling and Dorothy Radtke; a special niece and her husband, Joan (Archie) Hinahara; Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Gust Backman; 2 grandsons, David and Mark Backman; a brother, John and a sister, Agnes. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2003, at Martin Luther Church, Neenah, with Pastor Richard A. Maurice officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah. Friends may call at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. A special thank you to the ladies at Geri-Care Cabin and the staff at Vallhaven Care Center for their care and concern.
