Here the researcher will find plat maps previously printed in our "Genealogical Gems". These maps were compiled from original official public records and elsewhere, and were published as a historical guide of the local area and as an aid to the genealogical researcher. It is hoped that these maps of original owners will help to fill the void in research material available for this period. Because of the restrictions on size for uploaded images these plats have been added as attachments that you can download to your computer and view at your leisure.Descriptions of the maps are found in the table below, the images themselves are attached documents found futher down.

Township 22 North/Range 18 East

Hortonia (north) and Liberty(south): The towns of New London and Hortonville are indicated by a shaded line at present size and location for geographical reference.

Hortonia, at the time of its organizaton, comprised all of the townships in range 15 in Outagamie County. In 1852 the town was divided, that portion lying north of Wolf River forming a new town called Embarrass. The following year the town was again divided, setting apart the territory in township 21 north, range 15 east, less sections 1 to 6, to form the town of Dale, leaving the town of Hortonia with about 23 square miles.
