 The Fox Valley Genealogical Society (FVGS) of Wisconsin is a non-profit organization formed for the purpose of exchanging and sharing information, collecting and preserving resource materials, and promoting genealogical research. Covering Outagamie County, Wisconsin and the Fox Valley's surrounding communities, which include, Menasha and Neenah.For announcements that need to go out before a meeting see the NEWS page. Looking for a certain surname? Use the SEARCH box on the left where is says "Search this site" [at this time - 4/27/2009 - WETPAINT has a bug that affects the search box; it is not searching all of our pages and they are working on it]. It couldn't be any easier. Looking for databases? Check out the Wiki pages in the box on the left where you can find cemetery readings, plat map indexes, obituaries indexes, state census indexes and lots more. Now, thanks to the world of 'WEB 2.0', we can invite our members and researchers, with connections to the Fox Valley, to add photos, indexes, stories, or resources in an easy and uncomplicated way, our goal is to facilitate collaboration and sharing between researchers and members. We recommend that anyone interested in research in the Fox Valley join our wiki. Once you have created your username and password all you have to do is sign in whenever you visit and there magically appears on the page options for adding, deleting, changing, etc. pages and text. All you have to do is go to the page you want to edit, click on the easy edit button and start typing. The other benefit to joining is getting emails letting you know when changes have been made to the site and what they were. Please, explore!
