He superintended the crew which installed Appleton's first car tracks. He also was one of the six chartered members of Zion Lutheran Church. He was Born in Carnitz, Germany. He came to America and settled in Appleton in1881. He was living At 622 E. Randall St. when he died June 1st 1930 he was 79. He left a wife, three sons Albert and Louis of Appleton, and William Jr. of Milwaukee, four daughters: Mrs. Anna Dundon, from Ysilanti, Mich, Mrs John Hanway ( my grandmother) and Mrs. Peter Gregory both from Detroit, Mich, and Mrs. William West of Cleveland, Ohio and 15 grandchildren. I am hoping desperately to find a family member. I have never met any of my Grandmothers family and recently found out my Great Grandfathers name.
