The John S Thomas reference is from the 1895 Pioneers of Outagamie Co. The 2nd website reference is to the 1898 follow-up edition. The first has 299 pp plus index; the 2nd has 110 pp plus index. Where they got p. 469 I don't know. I checked that page in a couple of other references but didn't find anything. Neither's index has John Thomas, so if he is mentioned in either, it must be as a passing reference in someone else's biography.

I noted some similarities in the previous entry:
THOMAS, John S. Waupaca Standard History Of Waupaca County, Wisconsin, Vol. I & II 469 1917
and suspect some info got mistyped.
