Murleen Ida Riehl passed away on the evening of her 95th birthday after suffering from a stroke a week earlier. She was born in the Town of Maine, the eldest child of Benjamin and Edna Gunderson's fifteen children. She was united in marriage to Richard Riehl, Town of Ellington, on August 24, 1938.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, their twins, four brothers (Merle, Earl, Jim and Russell), five sisters (June, Grace, Carmen, Ruth, and Vera), and her son-in-law William Van Den Bogart.

She is survived by Sharon (Thomas) Haber and children: John, Joel (Dinorah), and Jennifer (Vaughn) Wallace; Shirlyne Van Den Bogart and children: Thomas (Daniel), Mike, David (Lori), and Michelle (Scott) Wichman; Eugene (Mary) Riehl and children: Kelly (Tim) Kelly and Kari (Simon) Ly: Susan Riehl.

She really enjoyed doing yard work including planting her gardens and maintaining her flower beds and numerous house plants. Canning fruits and vegetables were an annual event for her. She loved to bake breads and sweets, and would always invite a visitor to stay for a meal. She was passionate about traveling and enjoyed learning about history and other cultures. She will be missed by her family.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 24th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. with the service following at Mt. Olive Evangelical Lutheran Church, 930 E. Florida Avenue, Appleton.

Her family wishes to thank the staff of Grand Horizons West, Southern Care Hospice, and the ministers of Mt. Olive Evangelical Lutheran Church for their care and concern.
